Happy, Happy December!

I’ve always loved Christmastime, but Christmas with a kid??? WAY more fun! I’ve had so much fun showing my little guy all the joys of Christmas and he’s loving all the “lights!”

I’ve been warned about having a baby with a Christmas tree and everyone keeps telling me that he’ll destroy it… wrong! He just sits there and looks at it. He’s touched it a couple of times, but he pulls his hand back really quickly when he realizes how prickly it is. I’ve also put our Christmas tree in our office, and having it out of sight, out of mind helps a lot, too!

In my family, these felt stockings are a Christmas tradition that goes back a few generations. They are so special, because so many hours go into each and every one of them! I’ve been busy working on my little buddy’s stocking and I’m determined to get it finished before Christmas moring! Ideally, it would have been finished before December…. but ya know… life got in the way…. 😉

Here are our stockings… we love them! My childhood stocking is similar to my stocking now. My mom says they are too special to her and so she won’t let us kids have them. They are hanging in my childhood home on the fireplace right now and I’m okay with that. 🙂

My favorite part of Christmas! I love this nativity. My mom gave me this nativity piece by piece over a couple of years time. Each Christmas and birthday I would get a new piece making it so fun and special. I can’t wait to get my little buddy the fisher price nativity! Next year for sure!

If you and your students (or children) are super excited for Christmas (like me!), then you can download the templates for this fun Christmas Countdown Chain for free from my FREE RESOURCE LIBRARY by clicking HERE.

To make this countdown just alternate red and green chain links and make sure that the last one is gold {or yellow} for Christmas Day. I glue my gold chain link in between the front and the back papers. Also, this time of year, you can find cheap gift bows at pretty much any store.
