Reading Comprehension TWO!!!

Hello, Sweet Friends!!
I am excited to show you my newest unit... READING COMPREHENSION II!
I have been so overwhelmed at your response for my first Reading Comprehension packet {you can read more about it here}, that I wanted to provide you with some additional resources. However, both packets compliment each other nicely, as they each focus on different comprehension strategies.

This packet includes worksheets and anchor charts for making connections:

As well as worksheets and anchor charts for story elements {these are also available in B&W}:

This packet is perfect for small group instruction (Guided Reading groups/Daily 5) and can also be adapted for whole group instruction (for ages K-3). In my classroom, I will be using them for both. I have also made the pages and activities "generic" so they can be used for a variety of stories (over and over again).

This packet includes worksheets and activities for: Story Elements, Plot, Text to Self/World/Text, Details, Summarizing, Book Reports, Biography Reports, Comparing, Anchor Charts for Lessons, and lots more!

*All activities that come in color, also come in B&W!

And, as always... The first two people who comment will get this unit FREE!

  15. This looks great! I will be purchasing it! Would you be able to make two charts about authors and illustrators? For some reason my students always have a hard time remembering which is which!I could make one but it wouldn't be near as cute! Thank you so much!

  20. This set looks great! We did a Daily 5 Book Study at me school 3 years ago and I have used elements of it ever since. It is a wonderful program. I have found it hard to follow exactly due to scheduling and requirements at my school. The children have really enjoyed being able to make connections as they read. I love to find teachers who have created great reading units I can buy, since I prefer to make Math materials. I will definitely be purchasing this set and checking back to get any new tips for the Daily 5.
