First Grade Calendar Time

Here are a few pictures of my calendar wall. I put a lot of thought into this bulletin board and it took me a long time to finally put it together. I really wanted to make this space meaningful, because I think calendar time is really important. We start every morning right here! I’ll link everything that I can at the bottom of this post (affiliate). Some items may not be available anymore, but I will try to link something similar.

This is our circle time area. You can’t see it, but I have a green rug for my students to sit on. We spend a lot of our day here!

I made this date flip-chart from a free download at Mama Jenn.  I love it and I love the idea of having all the pieces on a ring. Before going home each night, it’s easy to switch the date because I have everything here.

I think this giant analog clock is so fun! I saw it in Lory Evans’ classroom and I had to make my own. Oh, and I am always telling my students that they can do hard things! I plan on changing the messages throughout the year, depending on what my students need. The next message will be: Always Do Your Personal BEST!

Update: I’ve added my sister’s Calendar Wall to this post. She teaches Kindergarten and I got to help her set up her classroom. She was hired the day before back-to-school night and only three days before school started. So we had to set everything up in just a couple days! I think we did a pretty good job and it all turned out darling.

The Alphabet Posters above her calendar are from my Teachers Pay Teachers Shop. It was so fun to see them on display in her classroom! These posters can be used as an alphabet wall, word wall headers, or flash cards. They come in color and B&W. The color version comes in red, yellow, blue, and green.
