doubles addition: an easter themed unit

When I return from Spring Break, I want to focus on Doubles Addition with my students.

Of course my students know how to do addition,
but I want them to have their facts memorized by the end of the year.

Teaching doubles addition will help my students recall other addition facts automatically,
because it helps with memorization.

Here is the unit I will be using to teach my students Doubles Addition:

  4. So cute! I'm on Spring Break past Easter. Can you believe it! I sure could use something like this that is more generic. I definitely would purchase it.

  8. I love your units. I teach 2nd grade but these are great for some of my strugglers. Just a quick comment on the Doubles Unit. You spelled "scene" like "sceen". It is on the number 8 + 8. Thought you might want to know.

  10. I'm wondering how you posted this cute display of your unit?? It is really cut! I'm trying to just post a sample page more less a little collage of work. I'm just new to the game and don't know how.

  11. Your packets are so adorable Lindsey! We're working on the "ow" sound and spellings right now as well. I can't wait to download and use your "Clowning Around" packet!
Also, I'm new to the blogging world, I'd love it if you'd stop by my blog and check it out, and follow me too!

  13. So excited I won this unit! Thanks so much! It is so perfect because we learned a Doubles Rap poem in the fall that was really similar to the book, so the kids really love it! And anything to do with Bingo gets a first grader really going, so the Doubles Bingo game is awesome. Thanks for your generosity and creativity!
