Valentine’s Day Madness

Whew! Do I get a medal for surviving Valentine’s Day in first grade? It was crazy, but so FUN! I felt like a kid again. We started off the day making valentine’s for their parents. You can get this cute activity from my packet February Writing Activities and Crafts. Click HERE to check it out on TpT.

Then we played “Pin the Lips on Your Teacher”. They loved, loved, LOVED this game! They were laughing so hard the whole time!I got the idea from my cute friend, Kaija! You can download the lips from my FREE RESOURCE LIBRARY by clicking HERE.

At the end of the day we had our Valentine’s Tea Party with our sixth grade buddies! They exchanged valentines with each other, ate cookies (parents donated these), sipped on punch, and talked with each other.

Then we passed out our valentines to the entire class. This part was complete chaos, but there really isn’t any other way to do it. They were just so excited to give and get their valentines. We used these Love Monster Valentine Sack Templates and my students LOVED them! They turned out darling and were perfect for holding all of the Valentines. It was a great day!
